About Our Registered Dietitian, Amy Johnson
Amy Johnson is a registered dietitian and a certified diabetes educator. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietitics from James Madison University in 1992, and then completed her dietetics internship at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
Over the past 26 years, Amy has worked as in in-hospital dietitian, a media dietitian, and a home care specialist. In 2003, she received her certification as a diabetes educator. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
Amy believes in teaching others to help themselves. "With some guidance and tools, patients are very capable of making a lifetime of healthy food choices."
